Congratulations to Dr. Ezequiel C. Dantas, who has been promoted to Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine on the Investigator Clinician Educator track. Ezequiel has been an integral member of the CANCAN team as an outstanding collaborator, mentor, and CANCAN Future Leader. He has made major scientific contributions to our understanding of cancer cachexia, systemic metabolism, inflammation, and nutritional immunology. Over the past several years, Ezequiel has helped lead important studies examining inflammatory signaling in cachexia, sex-specific responses to therapy, and the effects of diet on systemic immunity. He has contributed to multiple high-impact publications supporting the CANCAN initiative over the last four years, helping shape new research directions across the consortium. His work bridges immunology, metabolism, and cancer biology in innovative ways and reflects the collaborative and translational spirit of Cancer Grand Challenges.
